A week after Apple released the iOS 17.2 with the Journal app and a few other features, the company dropped another software update for iPhone users. On Tuesday, the Cupertino-based tech giant pushed iOS 17.2.1 to eligible iPhones. However, this time, the company hasn’t mentioned any specific bug fixes or patched vulnerabilities as part of the update.
iOS 17.2.1 Is Available To iPhone Xs And Newer Models
Apple’s iOS 17.2.1 is available to all users with access to iOS 17, including iPhone Xs or newer models. The changelog reads, “This update provides important bug fixes and is recommended for all users.” Further, the security vulnerabilities page suggests that iOS 17.2.1 has no “published CVE entries.” Nonetheless, those who wish to keep their iPhone updated can download the 240MB update from the Software update section in General, Settings.
macOS Sonoma 14.2.1 Is Also Here
Along with iOS 17.2.1, Apple has also released macOS Sonoma 14.2.1, which fixes the WindowServer issue that caused screen sharing to display incorrect screen at times. Apart from this, the macOS update doesn’t seem to have any other improvements, leaving general bug fixes. Hence, users facing the issue too often should upgrade to the latest version, provided they have enough storage.
iOS 17.3 Beta 1 Is Now Available To Testers
In a related development, Apple has also rolled out iOS 17.3 first beta version, which includes features like Stolen Device Protection and Collaborative playlists on Apple Music, a feature that Apple initially announced during the Worldwide Developer Conference in 2023. Meanwhile, iOS 17.2 is the latest major upgrade available for iPhone users, which comes with the Journal app and several other improvements like Qi2 wireless charging for iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 models.
