Missing the Apple iPhone battery percentage on your display? You’ll be glad to hear that you’ll soon get it back!

The Apple iPhone battery percentage- an essential feature that had been missing even in the new line-up of the flagship iPhones has just returned in the latest iOS 16 Beta. With the introduction of the new iPhones, one of the most sought-after improvements were a smaller notch and the return of the favoured battery indicator. Although the former has been improved upon, the latter is still the same but that could soon change with the upcoming iOS 16.

According to TechCrunch, Apple has brought back the battery percentage on the iPhone with its latest iOS 16 Beta 5. The battery percentage option was introduced with the iPhone 3GS but was removed with the launch of the iPhone X back in 2017, which favoured the battery indicator.

So, if you want the battery percentage back immediately, you can enroll in Apple's Beta Program and download the latest iOS 16 Beta 5. the battery percentage option has to be manually switched on in the Battery section in Settings. Apple offers iOS Beta programs for people who wish to try the upcoming operating systems before their public launch. You can enroll in the program which will allow you to install iOS 16 on your iPhone before its launch to the public.

However, you should be cautious. Apple's Beta program is there to test for any bugs or glitches in iOS 16. So, you can expect a wide variety of issues such as performance issues, app glitches, unusual battery drain and more.

Although the battery percentage feature has been brought back in Beta, it will be interesting to see if Apple keeps it in the final build of iOS 16. Apple does not keep every feature it tests with the Beta versions of iOS. However, since the demand for the battery percentage has been high since the feature got removed, it is likely that Apple keeps it in the final build of the iOS 16 as well.
