Now, Apple has announced a new HomePod for the Indian market that promises better audio and intelligence. The 2nd-generation HomePod comes with advanced computational audio and supports spatial audio tracks. Read on to know about its price, availability, and features.

Apple 2nd-gen HomePod: Price & Availability

The new Apple HomePod is priced at Rs. 32,900 in India. It comes in White and Midnight colors and is now up for pre-orders in the country. The sale will begin on February 3 via the official Apple online store, retailers, and e-commerce portals.

Apple 2nd generation HomePod: Features

The new HomePod delivers incredible audio quality with rich, deep bass and stunning high frequencies. It comes with a custom-engineered high excursion woofer, a powerful motor that drives the 20mm, built-in bass EQ mic, and a beamforming array of 5 tweeters around a base all work together to achieve a powerful acoustic experience. With the new HomePod, users can create Smart Home using Siri.

The new HomePod is powered by an S7 chipset that combines with software and system sensing tech to provide computational audio. There are 2 speakers that can be used as an in-home intercom system to broadcast messages.

The HomePod now comes with a new temperature and humidity sensor via which it can measure indoor environments and allow users to make automation like closing the blinds or turning on a fan or an AC. The HomePod also comes with smoke and carbon monoxide alarms that will notify the users on iPhones when they are away.

The Home App has got a major redesign and now allows users to scroll through categories like climate, lights, and security. The app allows easy setup and control of the smart home as it has a multicamera view.
