4 Xiaomi TV Stick 4K features that you get for its 4,999 price tag

It took its sweet time but Xiaomi TV Stick 4K has finally launched in India at a price of ₹4,999. The key difference between it and the Mi TV Stick is that the latter supports only 1080p playback. The newcomer offers the following 4 key features that draw a comparison to Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K. We will also do a spec-by-spec comparison to see how it stacks up against Amazon’s 4K Stick.

1. Xiaomi TV Stick 4K supports 4K Dolby Vision out of HDMI.

2. The visuals are complemented by Dolby Atmos and DTS HD audio.

3.  Xiaomi will be bundling a Mi Remote (Bluetooth and IR-supported) that has dedicated buttons for triggering Google Assistant, Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+ Hotstar.

4. Besides these OTT apps, the Xiaomi software called PatchWall that’s based on Android TV 11. This offers a content aggregation and discovery engine. You also get Play Store for installing 3rd party apps.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K comes with a quad-core Cortex-A35 processor, 2GB RAM, 8GB storage, WiFI, Bluetooth 5.2, AV1 and VP9 decoding, HDMI end, and Chromecast support.

The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K has launched in India at ₹4,999 through mi.com. It will go on sale starting February 20 at 12 noon.

1. Xiaomi TV Stick 4K supports Dolby Vision like the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K but the latter is also HDR10+ compatible.

2. While Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K supports only Dolby Atmos, the Xiaomi stick also features DTS HD sound.

3. Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K comes with Dual Band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 but Xiaomi TV Stick 4K offers Bluetooth 5.2.
4. The smart assistant onboard is different as you could guess. The Xiaomi one comes with Google Assistant while the Amazon one features Alexa.

5. Smart TV 4K from Xiaomi is lighter at 42.5 grams while the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K weighs 45 g.

Both offer micro USB for charging and HDMI out to connect to the device.
